(ADAMS) – It looks like we’re in for six more weeks of winter. Staten Island Chuck and Punxsutawney Phil seem to be on the same page this year, as both rodents saw their shadows and predicted six more weeks of winter.
It comes as frigid temperatures have loomed over the region for at least two weeks now. The Staten Island Zoo says Staten Island Chuck has an 86-percent accuracy rating, while the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Punxsutawney Phil has a 35-percent accuracy rating.
