The Fort Wayne Police Department says an arrest was made in a shooting at the Thunderbowl bowling alley last week. 24-year-old Tristan Pernell is now facing several charges.
Pernell now faces preliminary charges of attempted murder, aggravated battery, battery with a deadly weapon, and criminal recklessness.

On December 4, 2025, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 6700 block of S. Lafayette St in reference to a shooting investigation. FWPD Officers arrived and located multiple shooting victims. The victims were transported to area trauma centers in life-threatening and non-life-threatening conditions. Homicide Detectives conducted a criminal investigation, and Tristan Pernell 24yoa was identified as a suspect in the shooting. On December 8, 2025, Pernell was placed under arrest and preliminary charged with Attempted Murder, Aggravated Battery, Battery with a Deadly Weapon, and Criminal Recklessness Shooting a Firearm into a Gathering.

ORIGINAL STORY:
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Three people are hospitalized after they were shot at a bowling alley in Fort Wayne last night. One man is in critical condition. A man and a woman have less-serious injuries. No arrests have been made. The shooting happened at Thunder Bowl just before 10 p.m.
The FWPD released the following:
On Thursday, December 4th, 2025, at approximately 9:50 p.m., officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) were dispatched to a reported shooting call at 6700 Lafayette St. (Thunder Bowl). Prior to the dispatch, an Allen County Police Department (ACPD) officer working a part-time detail at Thunder Bowl, heard multiple gunshots inside the building. Moments later, the ACPD officer saw that two individuals were apparently shot.
FWPD officers arrived and encountered a large disturbance outside the bowling alley and had to manage the chaotic scene. Officers subsequently located three individuals with apparent gunshot wounds – two inside the building and one outside. The victims, identified as two adult males and one adult female, were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Medical staff later determined that one male victim was in critical but non-life-threatening condition. The second male victim and the female victim were listed in stable condition.
The investigation remains on-going. FWPD detectives are currently canvassing the area for witnesses, evidence, and camera footage.
