WASHINGTON D.C. (ADAMS) – U.S. Senator and Indiana candidate for governor Mike Braun is being fined $159,000 by the Federal Election Commission. The fine is for not disclosing loan balances, terms, dates, repayment amounts, and more in the 2018 U.S. Senate election which was also the closest statewide election in Indiana in the past six years. He defeated then-Sen. Joe Donnelly.
Braun is currently in a six-candidate race for the Republican nomination for governor. The fine was the second-largest ever imposed on a senatorial campaign.
