WHITLEY CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The Indiana Department of Transportation announced the closure of a portion of State Road 5 for several culvert replacements.
Staring on or after October 16, crews will be working on S.R. 5 between C.R. 100 S. and Elder Road. Construction is expected to take 5 days. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
During the closure, drivers should use the approved detour of State Road 205, State Road 109 and U.S. 33, or seek an alternate route.
INDOT encourages drivers to consider worker safety by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when traveling in and around all work zones.
