We Now Go to Starbucks at Different Times Because of coronavirus

Add this to the list of the many unexpected results of the pandemic:  Our relationship with COFFEE has changed.

Starbucks’ sales were down 40% last quarter, but a lot of that was because they closed down a ton of their stores for more than a month.

But when Starbucks HAS been open, it’s still been seeing a good amount of customers.  We’re just going at different times of the day than before.

In the past, Starbucks’ peak time was in the morning before work.  That’s changed now that so many people are working from home or are in between jobs.

Now the peak times at Starbucks are 9:30 A.M. . . . and 2:00 P.M.

Or, in other words, in the morning AFTER you’ve checked in with work and can sneak away for coffee . . . and in the afternoon, when you need to just get out of the house for a minute.
