FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Mom of an Addict, Inc. is hosting the fourth annual Recovery Rocks at the Sweetwater Performance Pavilion, located at 5501 US 30 W, Fort Wayne, IN 46818, on Sunday, September 10 from 2 to 6 PM.
For those not knowing where to look for help, it will all be in one place at this event with nearly 60 resource tables for mental health, substance use, and wellness will be on-hand for attendees to gather information for themselves or a loved one. Peer recovery coaches will be on-site, and for those ready to start recovery, rides to treatment will be available. This event is free to the community.

“With the fentanyl crisis showing no signs of letting up, we must continue to bring the community together to offer resources and to let people know they are not alone,” says Jennifer Hope, founder and director of The Mom of an Addict, Inc. “Recovery is possible, and we want to offer local, real-life examples to lead the way.”
Speakers, including local advocates with lived experience, and live music with the Two/Eight Band will ignite the stage. The Hidden in Plain Sight trailer’s experts will guide parents and adults through a simulated teenager’s bedroom and point out areas of concern. The inaugural Rockstar of the Year Awards will be presented in four categories: Recovery Rockstar, Recovery Peer Rockstar, Recovery Professional Rockstar and Recovery Ally Rockstar. Food trucks, kids activities, vendors offering recovery-related merch, a silent auction and honor baskets with proceeds going to a scholarship fund will round out the festivities.
“Outside of providing inspiration and hope, this event provides support and connection in an understanding environment where individuals can connection with others, bonding over similar experiences,” says Corporal Keely Ray, coordinator of the Jail Chemical Addiction Program for the Allen County Sheriff’s Department. “It’s a sense of community that is incredibly powerful, fostering a sense of belonging.”
Aisha Diss, founder of project.ME, adds about Recovery Rocks “All pathways are represented and you can find something you need, no matter who you are or what you might be struggling with or recovering from.” When asked the one thing she wishes everyone knows about this event…”it is created primarily with love.”
