PICTURES: Suspect who used counterfeit cash for lottery tickets

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Police Department is asking for help in identifying a counterfeit suspect whose captured in surveillance photographs.

On Sunday, January 7th the suspect entered the Marathon gas station located at 7440 St. Joe Road and passed several counterfeit $20 bills to make a purchase of Indiana Lottery scratch-off tickets.

According to a police report, the man he was buying high-dollar lottery tickets and a clerk found it “unusual”.
He asked for change in 5, 10, and 20 dollar bills, that he used to buy more tickets.

When he won $75 and $50, the clerk refused to cash one of them when she realized the $20 bill he gave her was fake.
