Organizers gear up for ‘Be a Tourist in Your Own Hometown 2019’

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Summit City is a pretty cool place to live – and sometimes, we can take it for granted.

An upcoming event will make it easier for you to experience a lot of what our great city has to offer with no price tag.

On Sunday, September 8 th, from 12 noon – 5 pm, you can visit 17 of Fort Wayne’s museums and attractions for free during the 21st Anniversary of Be a Tourist in Your Own Hometown.

Pick up your free passport and Be a Tourist in Your Own Hometown on Sunday, September 8th.

Here’s how the program works:
1. Pick up a passport at any Fort Wayne Kroger or Old National Bank location in mid-August! Or, print a one-page passport online

2. On Sunday, September 8th, you will be able to visit 17 of Fort Wayne’s participating attractions and museums – FOR FREE! Just use your passport to gain free admission to the following attractions:

Diocesan Museum
Embassy Theatre
Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory

The History Center
