WALKER, Mich. (ADAMS) – Meijer has voluntarily recalled several Meijer brand packaged products containing sliced apples that are potentially contaminated with Listeria.

The products are sold at all Meijer stores, in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin, according to a company announcement posted on the Food and Drug Administration’s website.
The Meijer announcement came the day after a recall of whole apples packed and shipped by Nyblad Orchards Inc. for Sparta, Mich.-based Jack Brown Produce Inc.

Jack Brown Produce supplies Detroit-based Fresh-Pak Inc., which notified Meijer about the listeria risk, according to the announcement.
Meijer’s recalled product will be in plastic containers with printed labels and include a “sell by” range of December 17, 2017 through December 21, 2017.
These products have been recalled:
Meijer Michigan Harvest Salad, in 10-ounce packages with UPC 708820684003;
Meijer Sharable Waldorf Salad, in 16-ounce packages with UPC 713733538640; and
Meijer Fresh Cranberry Apple Stuffing Starter in 18.9-ounce packages with UPC 719283379771.

No illnesses have been reported in conjunction with the recalled products.
Customers should stop using the product and either dispose of it, or return it to the customer service desk at any Meijer store for a full refund.
