It all comes after Addison Agen finished as runner-up on NBC’s “The Voice”.
But now she will have a very special “Summit City” honor.

Wednesday morning, Mayor Tom Henry declared in a proclamation that January 17th is Addison Agen Day in Fort Wayne.
Mayor Henry made the announcement at Citizens Square where Addison was joined by family, friends, and City employees for the special recognition ceremony.

“Addison continues to be an inspiration to all of us. She’s representing our community with dignity and class, and we’re so proud of her,” said Mayor Henry. “I wanted to set aside a special day to celebrate Addison’s accomplishments and wish her well. She has a bright future ahead of her.”

Addison was recently honored for her impressive performance on “The Voice” by State Rep. Martin Carbaugh during this legislative session. Addison sang the national anthem to rave reviews.

Indiana House Democratic Leader Terry Goodin tweeted he had “goosebumps.”
