FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – One of Fort Wayne’s lawmakers wants Indiana to seriously take a look at more train service. Senator Dennis Kruse this month introduced a plan to create the Indiana Passenger Rail Commission which would study how to connect the state’s major cities by train.
Kruse said it would help the state to have a network of trains and he points to the South Shore Line that connects South Bend and Chicago as an example.
The idea has a long way to go before becoming a reality, and any train service has an even longer way to go before becoming a reality.
