WESTFIELD, Ind. (ADAMS) – Westfield Washington School officials are responding after photos of a Center Grove High School football player in blackface circulated on social media.
This comes after the Center Grove football team beat Westfield in the Class 6A championship game at Lucas Oil Stadium Saturday night.
The school district says it stands with the student being mocked by the football player, and that they will stand up against racial discrimination. Center Grove school officials and their Athletic Program have apologized for the student’s behavior. They say the incident does not represent the values that their school stands for.
