INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Sarah Fisher has been a pace car driver for the Indy 500 for years, but this year she will be the pace car driver. Race managers yesterday selected Fisher to be this year’s celebrity pace car driver.
Fisher drove the pace car during the race for nine years between 2000 and 2010, which is a record among women drivers.
This year she will lead the field before the race starts. This year’s 500 is rapidly approaching, at just three weeks away.
