KOKOMO, Ind. (ADAMS) – Governor Holcomb along with Senators Todd Young and Joe Donnelly joined hundreds of family and friends last night in Kokomo, in cheering for members of the Indiana National Guard headed to Kuwait.
The departure ceremony was for about 250 members of the 38th Sustainment Brigade based in Kokomo.
The National Guard says the soldiers will head to Fort Hood, Texas for additional training before going to Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq and Syria.
The Governor gave remarks, thanking the soldiers for their bravery and answering the call to serve. He added that Indiana was sending some it’s finest for this deployment.
