FWPD looking for man suspected of trying to abduct little girl

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne police are looking for a man suspected of trying to abduct a little girl on the city’s southwest side.

On Friday, FWPD officials released the following to the public regarding the attempted abduction that happened on October 12:

“Regarding the attempted abduction of a juvenile female earlier this week:

We know these stories spread quickly and we try to bring as much information to the public that we can verify as accurate. Today, we are releasing a description of a male we believe to be involved in an attempted abduction of a female child in Aboite Township, North Shores Addition. We are asking anyone in the area of 4400 Isleview Cove on 10-12, at approximately 1:40pm, that may have surveillance video or may have seen something they have not yet reported to police to call 427-1201 and let us know what you saw or that you may have useful video. Please look at least two hours before and at least one hour after 1:40pm on Monday.

The following is a description of the suspect in this case:

M/W or M/H

30’s

Black hair

Smaller gage style earrings

Possible stitches or some type of scar on his hand

White hooded sweatshirt sleeves cut around the elbow

Blue jeans

Blue Nike shoes
