FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control is asking for the public’s help to gain more information about a deceased dog found in a dumpster in the Baldwin Creek Apartment Complex.

Officers were notified of a dog in a dumpster located at 2130 Hobson Road inside of the apartment complex Tuesday morning. When Animal Control officers arrived on scene they found an extremely emaciated deceased pit bull mix dog inside.

Holly Pasquinelli, Community Relations & Education Specialist for FWACC said their medical team examined the dog once back at the shelter and determined it is between 6 to 12 months old and extremely emaciated.

She said that based on its condition they determined it was likely kept inside a crate for long periods of time prior to its death. The dog is a tri-colored pit bull mix very Photo of the dumpster inside the apartment complex where dog was found.similar in markings and size to the attached stock photo.
