Free community concert at the Embassy Theatre

Cletus Goens

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Embassy Theatre is offering a free community pipe organ concert on Friday, July 5, 7:30 p.m., as part of the citywide celebration of athletes participating in the 2019 International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) Goalball and Judo International Qualifier competitions hosted by Turnstone.

During the hour-long concert, the Embassy says that volunteer house organist Cletus Goens will surprise and delight patrons with a variety of musical selections and also provide historical and other fun facts about the Embassy and its world-famous Grande Page theater pipe organ.

Cletus is a member of the American Theatre Organ Society and has performed throughout the tri-state area. During the day, he can be found managing Sweetwater Music’s acoustic and institutional piano department.

The event is free to the community, with no ticket required.

“We are excited to be part of the many organizations helping hundreds of visitors from more than 40 countries feel welcome in our city,” said Kelly Updike, Embassy president and CEO.
