FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne Police are handling a death investigation on the city’s south side.
The body of an adult male was discovered in an alleyway behind a home at 5511 Webster Street just before 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. According to Michael Joyner, Public Information Officer for the Fort Wayne Police, the victim had been shot multiple times. Investigators believe that he had been there for several hours before anyone found him.
The Allen County Coroner has identified the victim as 28-year-old Foster Doughty of Fort Wayne. The cause of death has been determined to be Multiple Gunshot Wound(s) and the Manner of Death is Homicide.
Foster Doughty is the 39th homicide victim in Allen County for 2017.
Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 436-STOP (7867).
This remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Coroner’s office, and the Allen County Prosecutor’s office.
