INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – It’s another tradition that’s coming back to the 500. Indianapolis Motor Speedway officials will allow coolers in the Snake Pit after all this year.
Race managers had originally said coolers would not be permitted, but they changed their minds this week.
There are size restrictions on the coolers, the race won’t allow the really big ones, and of course, gatekeepers will be making sure no one brings in glass or drugs to the Snake Pit this year.
