WASHINGTON D.C. (ADAMS) -The active start to tornado season has inspired a bipartisan group of U.S. Senators to file legislation calling for a better warning system.
The group has co-signed and re-introduced the so-called “TORNADO Act.” The bill would require NOAA to implement new technology and procedures to help increase lead times for the public in severe storms.
Part of the legislation requires an “action plan” on the issue.
