Biden sweeps Tuesday primaries

(ADAMS) – Joe Biden was the big winner on Election Day. The Democratic presidential candidate swept seven primaries on Tuesday, in Indiana, Maryland, Montana, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and South Dakota.

The victories push Biden closer to becoming the Democratic Party’s nominee for president.

The 77-year-old former Vice President is now only about 100 delegates short of winning the nomination.

Primaries next week in Georgia and West Virginia are expected to put Biden over the top.
