STEUBEN CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office says that an Angola man accused of molesting a 9-year-old multiple times was arrested Friday.
Officials say that detectives arrested 62-year-old Ronald Charles Albright just after 11 a.m. at a residence on the 600 block of West CR 157 South in Pleasant Township.
Following an investigation that spanned two months, a warrant was issued by the Steuben Superior Court charging Albright with three counts of Level 4 felony child molesting/fondling, according to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office.
Indiana’s Department of Child Services told the sheriff’s office about the allegations in July, Police say that the preliminary investigation revealed that Albright allegedly fondled the victim on more than one occasion in June at the address where he was later arrested.
Albright was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Steuben County Jail, police said in the release. Albright is being held without bond pending an initial court appearance.
The case is still under investigation.

An Angola man has been arrested n connection with an investigation into allegations of inappropriate contac with a chid. On 09/08/2023 just after 11:00 am, Steuben County Sheriff’s detectives located and arrested62 year old Ronald Charles Albright of Angola at a residence in the 600 block of West CR 157 S in southern Pleasant Township. Albright was arrested on a warrant issued by the Steuben Superior Court charging Abright with 3 counts of Level 4 felony child molesting/fondling
The warrant follows an over 2 month investigation that began back in July of 2023 when the Sheriffs Office was notified of the allegations by the Indiana Department of Child Services. The preliminary investigation indicated that Albright allegedly fondled a 9 year old victim on more than one occasion n une of 2023. The incdents allegedly occurred at the CR 157 S address.
Albright was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Steuben County Jail Albright remains held without bond pending an initial court appearance. The case remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office. Assisting the Sheriffs Office with the arrest was the Angola Police Department.
