FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department is investigating what caused a house fire Sunday afternoon.
FWFD crews were sent to the 300 block of Landau Run, close to Dupont and Coldwater, and found smoke in the back of the house around 1:20 p.m.
Everyone in the residence was able to evacuate safely. Firefighters worked to contain the fire for nearly 40 minutes.

The Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to the mentioned address – 308 Landau Run – on a reported structure fire. Multiple calls were received including from the occupant stating that everyone was out of the house as well as a pet.
FWFD Engine 16 arrived within x4 minutes and found heavy smoke coming from the rear of the house and coded it a 704. Engine 16 proceeded with an aggressive fire attack.
Additional crews arrived and completed a search to confirm all occupants were indeed out of the structure – confirmed and utilize multiple hoselines. Crews worked to bring the fire under control by 1359 with no injuries.
FWFD was assisted by FWPD, NIPSCO, AEP, NCC, and by a TRAA medic unit that stood by at the scene.
The fire is currently under investigation.
