ST. JOSEPH CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – St. Joseph County has been hit with a data breach.
The county IT department says the hack has been claimed by the Iranian organization Handala, and the hackers say they have stolen over two terabytes of data from several St. Joseph County organizations.
Those include the health centers and the prosecutor’s office. County IT officials say the server that was hit is cloud-based and not connected to any internal services.
