FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control (FWACC) has a new perk for those adopting animals. FWACC says a new app will have medical records, microchip information, and tips to keep their newly adopted pets happy in their new home.
FWACC released the following:
Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control (FWACC) has partnered with Petszel to provide an enhanced adoption experience. New pet parents who adopt an animal through the shelter or its adoption partner locations will be able to access medical records, microchip information, and tips to keep their newly adopted pets happy in their new home, all in a simple app.
“We feel that the Petszel app provides adopters with a wonderful tool that keeps records digitally and provides reminders for medical needs such as upcoming vaccines. There are also helpful resources about what to expect in those first few weeks after adopting, vet-approved tips on pet care and training, and its FREE,” says Animal Programs Supervisor, Emilee Smith.
Hopefully, with free tools like these, past due vaccines, outdated microchip information, and lost paperwork will be a thing of the past.
Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control is an open access shelter and will never turn away an animal. Anyone struggling to care for their pet can contact the shelter for assistance.
