JAY CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The National Weather Service is confirming two tornadoes hit Wells and Jay counties early Wednesday morning. Each twister was on the ground for three minutes, and both had peak winds of 80 miles per hour.
The tornado that formed in Wells County damaged two pole barns and lifted a garage off its foundation. In Jay County, that twister snapped three power poles, damaged a greenhouse and a barn door, damaged a home’s roof, and brought down several trees.
