COLUMBUS, Ohio (ADAMS) – Some Ohio leaders are looking to set aside more play time at the state’s public schools. Governor Mike DeWine and state Representatives Tom Young and Melanie Miller are supporting House Bill 304.
The measure would require public schools to provide two 30-minute recess periods per day, except on days when students have a phys ed class. The legislation would also extend recess requirements from kindergarten through sixth grade to kindergarten through eighth grade.
