INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – A state House committee has held a hearing on a bill to ban the use of cell phones in all classrooms.
Supporters of the bill say they want their children to be able to focus in class.
The Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents executive director, Jeff Butts, says social media is what they are most concerned about and says they support the bill, but want more restrictions on those apps.
A vote on the bill by the committee is expected next week.
