FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) says a woman has died after she was hit by a car when trying to cross Coliseum Boulevard.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. It happened around 8:20 p.m. in the 1200 block of North Coliseum Boulevard, close to Lake Avenue. The victim’s name has not been released.
Police said the driver of the vehicle was not hurt and is cooperating.
The FWPD released the following:
On November 18, 2025, at 8:19pm, officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a report of an injury accident in the 1200 block of N. Coliseum Blvd. Officers arrived and located an adult female in the roadway who was unresponsive. Medics arrived and pronounced the female deceased.
Initial information indicates the female was trying to cross the roadway on foot when she was struck by a vehicle that was traveling southbound on N. Coliseum Blvd. The adult driver of that vehicle immediately stopped and called 911, and is cooperating with investigators. There were no injuries to any other persons and no other vehicles involved.
The exact cause and manner of death, as well as the identity of the decedent, will be released by the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
