COLUMBUS, Ohio (ADAMS) – The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is reminding state residents that open burning is banned during restricted hours today through the end of November.
The ban applies to any fire that isn’t in a stove or fireplace that vents to a chimney or stack.
The regulation runs from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day and is meant to prevent wildfires that spread through dead and dry grass and leaves. Additional information on burning restrictions is available by searching OhioDNR.gov
