FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Google data center is requesting more diesel generators and fuel.
The Indiana Department of Environmental Management posted the application from Hatchworks, LLC, which is the builder of the data center.
The Citizens Action Coalition says it is a “massive expansion” of the backup diesel generators, and they are alarmed by it.
This could just be the start. Google could ask for additional expansions in the future as it ramps up its data center.🔗 permits.air.idem.in.gov/48739d.pdf

They say on Facebook that the request would expand the number of generators at the center by nearly five times, with 179 generators added if approved.
