FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – In honor of September’s National Library Card Sign-Up Month, the Allen County Public Library (ACPL) celebrated with its’ new limited-edition library card featuring none other than the beloved Fort Wayne Komets mascot, Icy D. Eagle.
“We’re excited to celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month with a fun, local twist,” said Chris Ford, Marketing Manager for the ACPL. “Icy D. Eagle is a beloved symbol of Fort Wayne, and we’re proud to partner with the Komets to encourage even more people to discover the power of a library card. With the new discounts and a card this cool, there’s never been a better time to sign up.”

To add to the celebration, the ACPL will also announced that all ACPL cardholders will now have access to exclusive discounts at a variety of local businesses, including restaurants, entertainment venues, service providers, and more available to ACPL cardholders.

ACPL library cards are free to all Allen County residents and individuals who attend or work at a school in Allen County. Residents outside of the county can also access ACPL services through a subscription card with a modest annual fee.
