On Friday morning, the FWPD released further information:
Details/Summary: Yesterday, June 19, 2025, at 2:31pm, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a fatal
shooting in the 700 block of W. Rudisill Blvd. Investigators have been working nonstop since then to piece
together what happened and arrest those responsible. The investigation took detectives to a home in the 800
block of Lafever St where detectives believed evidence related to the earlier investigation could be located.
Shortly before midnight, detectives applied for and were granted a search warrant. However, because of the
nature of the previous incident (fatal shooting) and because of the unknown persons that might be in this
address, the decision was made to call the occupants out of the house before serving the search warrant.
Detectives used loudspeakers to tell anyone inside to exit, but a few subjects initially refused. Again, because of
the violent nature of the previous incident and the unknowns still in this house, the Emergency Services Team
was called to assist. Shortly after arriving, the Emergency Services Team used loudspeakers to tell anyone
remaining in the house to exit, and two juveniles finally cooperated without incident.
There are currently no arrests stemming from this incident down on Lafever St. Detectives will be serving the
search warrant, searching for any evidence related to the previous investigation.
