FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Police Department says that one person is dead following a motorcycle crash Saturday.
The FWPD says officers were sent to the intersection of Maplecrest Road. and Centerton Drive around 9 p.m. Upon arriving on the scene, officers located the motorcyclist involved in the crash.
Medics responded to the scene and pronounced the motorcyclist dead. Police think speed may have been a factor.
The crash remains under investigation by the FWPD FACT and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

On Saturday, May 31st, 2025, around 9:00 p.m., officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) were dispatched to a reported traffic accident near the intersection of Maplecrest Rd. and Centerton Dr. Upon arrival, officers located a single motorist who had been involved in a crash. Medics responded to the scene and pronounced the motorist deceased. Preliminary investigation suggests that speed is may have been a contributing factor in the incident. The FWPD’s Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) was notified and has taken over the investigation. This incident remains under investigation by the FWPD’s FACT and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
