ALLEN CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) says that motorists should look out for road work and intermittent lane closures on I-69 in Fort Wayne.
Starting on or after Sunday, April 27, crews will be working in both directions of I-69 from the S.R. 3/U.S. 27/Lima Road exit, Exits 311A and 311B, to the Union Chapel Road exit, Exit 317.
INDOT encourages drivers to consider safety for all by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when traveling in and around all work zones.
INDOT released the following:
Construction crews will be completing an asphalt resurfacing, pipe lining, and a bridge deck overlay. Work on the project is expected to be complete by the end of October. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
During construction, there will be a 55 mph speed limit in the work zone, with a reduced speed limit of 45 mph when crews are working. A majority of the work in this area will be completed during the overnight hours and weekends.
