INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Indiana Court of Appeals has ruled the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution does not include people having the right to own a machine gun. The ruling was from an appeal by Jacob McGee for his arrest in 2023 for having a Glock 22 with a conversion device to make the handgun a machine gun.
He argued Indiana’s ban on machine guns violated his Second Amendment rights and said there wasn’t enough evidence to prove he knew what’s known as a Glock switch would make his weapon into a machine gun. The court also said there was enough evidence to support McGee’s conviction.
