FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Despite the weather on Saturday, hundreds came out to take a polar plunge for the Special Olympics.
Over $110,000 was raised for Special Olympics Indiana with this past weekend’s Polar Plunge. The organization says 230 people jumped into freezing water on Saturday with the first round of plungers.
With the recent drop in temperatures, the water was frozen over but the Fort Wayne Fire Department was there to help make sure participants could take the plunge.
