INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Hundreds of Hoosiers joined others across the country in speaking out against President Donald Trump.
People gathered outside the Indiana Statehouse Wednesday as part of the ‘50501 Movement’ which was organized across social media to hold protests in all 50 states in one day in opposition to the sweeping executive orders Trump has signed since taking office last month.
Some of the demonstrators were also critical of tech billionaire Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency office Trump has created for him. Organizers of the nationwide rallies motivated supporters online by challenging them to “reject fascism” and “defend our democracy”.
They chanted “Hey, hey! Ho, ho! Donald Trump has got to go!” as they marched. Demonstrations lasted for about five hours.
