INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Mike Braun has taken the oath of office as Indiana’s 52nd governor. The former U.S. Senator took the oath of office using two Bibles, one of which is his family bible, and the other was used by Benjamin Harrison for his presidential inauguration.
Braun said in his address that this is “the time to empower the next generation of Hoosiers and once again pursue freedom and opportunity without fear.” He succeeds Governor Eric Holcomb, who held office for eight years.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – The inauguration for Governor-Elect Mike Braun is being held today.
The day begins when First Lady Maureen Braun will host a breakfast honoring Indiana’s female entrepreneurs. The inauguration and swearing-in ceremony will then happen at Hilbert Circle Theatre. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. with the ceremony beginning at 11 a.m.
Along with Braun, Micah Beckwith will be sworn in as lieutenant governor, and Todd Rokita will be sworn in as attorney general.
