FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne Komets star Shawn Szydlowski has announced his retirement from professional hockey after 13 seasons.
The 34-year-old spent ten of those years with the Komets and is tenth all-time with 511 points. Szydlowski is ninth all-time in games played for Fort Wayne, 11th in assists, and 12th in goals, and helped the Komets win the Kelly Cup in 2021.
