INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) -Several hundred thousand Hoosiers are at risk of losing their Medicaid coverage under possible cuts that would be made by the incoming administration of President-elect Donald Trump.
He has vowed to cut government costs, and Medicaid is a prime target given its expansion under the Affordable Care Act.
There are over 754,000 Indiana residents who currently have Medicaid coverage. Indiana is one of nine states that have a trigger provision that would revoke the Healthy Indiana Plan providing that coverage if Congress reduces its financial obligation.
