FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Police Department says that a traffic stop Tuesday morning sent three men to the Huntington County Jail. They are all facing federal drug charges, according to the Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD).
Just after 10:00 a.m., detectives conducted stops on two vehicles at Lima Road and Coliseum Boulevard for traffic violations, according to the FWPD.
Officers found 10 pounds of methamphetamine and an AK rifle in one vehicle and a smaller amount of methamphetamine in the other vehicle.
The FWPD says that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is also involved in this investigation.
The men were identified as 21-year-old Gabriel Aragon Miguel, 23-year-old Heriberto Martinez Contreras, and 28-year-old Saul Martinez Contreras.

On October 8, 2024, a traffic stop led to a joint investigation between the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Shortly after 10:00am, detectives noticed two different vehicles traveling near Lima and Coliseum that committed traffic infractions. Both vehicles were stopped and in the first vehicle, detectives found 10lbs of methamphetamine along with a male armed with an AK rifle. The second vehicle had a smaller amount. Three males were arrested and will face the federal charges listed below. They were booked into the Huntington County Jail.
