Prosecutors in Allen County have charged 18-year-old Dairyon McClendon with murder, felony murder, and robbery. He and a second suspect are accused of chasing and shooting 20-year-old Damarion Lundy just before 6 a.m. on August 26. McClendon allegedly fired three shots at Lundy.

The Allen County Coroner has identified the victim in a fatal shooting early Monday Morning. The coroner says that Damarion Lundy, 20, of Fort Wayne, died from multiple gunshot wounds and ruled his death a homicide.

On August 26th, 2024, at about 06:10 hours the Allen County Coroner’s Office was notified of a shooting located in the 4400 block of Winter Street, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The victim was pronounced deceased on scene.
An autopsy has been completed and notification has been made to the next of kin of Damarion Tywan Lundy, male, Black, 20 years of age, from Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The Cause of Death is Multiple Gunshot Wounds, and the Manner of Death is Homicide. Damarion Tywan Lundy is the 28th Homicide for Allen County in 2024. The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Police Department is asking residents on and around the 4400 block of Winter Street to check their doorbell cameras. A man was found in a yard after being shot Monday morning. He was pronounced dead around 6 a.m.
If you live in that area and have a doorbell camera – police ask you to check around that time.

The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating a death that occurred in the 4400 block of Winter St in the early morning of August 26, 2024. The police responded just before 6:00am to a report a of a male being shot in a yard in the 4400 block of Winter St. Officers arrived to locate a male that appeared to be shot and in critical condition from his injuries. Medics arrived on-scene and pronounced the male deceased.
Officers and detectives began to canvas the area for evidence and interview witnesses. The Fort Wanye Police Department requests residences in the surrounding area check their doorbell cameras and security cameras for any video just prior to and just after 6:00am that appears to be related to the death investigation or suspicious activity. The incident remains under investigation by the FWPD Homicide Unit, the Allen County Coroner’s Office, and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
