On the Saturday morning of July 6, before that night’s sold-out Blink-182 show at SoFi Stadium, drummer Travis Barker took part in the inaugural Run Travis Run 5K benefit run in Los Angeles. The three-lap race began in the parking lot of Inglewood’s Kia Forum, and featured over 800 runners in addition to a wellness expo. “I run every day before a show, [just] not this intense,” Barker said, after finishing the race in 22 minutes flat. “My goal is to just come here and chill, to do an easy run, but of course I didn’t.”
Barker’s wife, Kourtney Kardashian Barker, walked the course while being filmed for a future episode of The Kardashians. Barker’s Run Travis Run event was a benefit to raise money for the Boys & Girls Club of L.A. It is the first of two scheduled runs on the morning of a Blink show, with another planned in Queens, New York on July 21. That event will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of New York. (Variety)
