FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne Police Department officials say that a boy was hurt in a shooting in southeast Fort Wayne on Saturday afternoon.
Just before 4:40 p.m., officers responded to the 2900 block of Lillie Street.
According to the FWPD, callers reported someone in the street saying that they’d been shot. Responding officers rendered aid until medics could take the juvenile male to the hospital.
A suspect is currently not known. The boy is expected to recover.
Police are asking anyone with information related to come forward.

On Saturday, January 20, 2024 at approximately 4:35pm, Officers responded to the area of 2900 Lillie Street, in reference to a male in the street yelling he had been shot. When Officers arrived, they found a juvenile male suffering from a gunshot wound. Responding officers rendered aid, while awaiting the arrival of medics who later transported the juvenile to a local hospital where the injuries were deemed non- life-threatening.
Detectives responded to the scene and conducted interviews with witnesses and victim. No suspect information is known currently.
