DEKALB CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – A crash Wednesday evening sent two people to the hospital, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 6:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the intersection of CR 327 and CR 68 in Garrett for reports of a two-vehicle crash.
Police found a black Dodge Ram on top of a Nissan Sentra on the southwest corner of the intersection.
According to a press release, the truck was driving west on County Road 68 before it came to a stop at the intersection.
As the truck entered the intersection, it crossed the path of the car, which was driving south on County Road 327.
The car struck the truck on its rear passenger side, causing the truck to spin and flip over onto the car before both vehicles landed on the southwest corner of the intersection, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
County Road 327 was shut down for approximately 30 minutes for Fire and EMS to get everyone out of the vehicles.
Reese Bordner, 17, who was driving the truck, and Raechelle Bondarevich, 32, who was in the Nissan, were both taken to the hospital. Their current conditions are unknown.
