FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Weather will no longer be an issue for the Wednesday Fort Wayne Farmers Market at Electric Works.
The market will be now set up in the Union Street Market. It moved indoors last week due to bad air quality from the Canadian wildfires. The setup, however, turned out to be a hit and organizers have decided to keep it that way.
Hours will remain from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Visitors can use the parking garage at Electric Works where parking is free for the first two hours.
Organizers released the following:
The Ft. Wayne’s Farmers Market and Electric Works (1620 Broadway) are excited to announce this new spin on our partnership. The Wednesday farmers market will be set up every week in the Union St Market. The FWFM originally set up in the Center hall when the air quality was bad from the Canadian Smoke. Both EW and FWFM had such a favourable response that discussions led to the FWFM setting up every Wednesday. FWFM spoke to the senior vendors and they too felt it was a good move, with their blessing it became a possibility. Shopping indoors at the farmers market regardless of the weather and your physical needs becomes a pleasant experience for all. EW provides an easily accessible parking garage at the corner of Lavina St and Broadway. EW provides free parking for the first 2 hours in the parking garage or on the flat lots. Handicap parking is available at all parking locations.
FWFM will continue to be a dedicated farmers market by bringing you 80% farm, food, natural with only 20% artisan. Pick up your fresh meat, produce and baked goods at our farmers on Wednesday 3-7 and on Saturday 9-1 at EW.
