FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) -The Fort Wayne Police Department says that one person suspected in an incident early Wednesday morning is still on the loose. Three others were arrested after a police chase. The FWPD’s Gang and Violent Crimes team tried to stop a vehicle near Salem Lane and Maple Grove around 12:15 a.m. The vehicle took off but soon after crashed into a parked car.
Police officials say that three people ran from the crash and then shots were heard. Officers thought that they were being shot at and called for more units.
After a search, three teenagers were apprehended. No one was hurt.

The Fort Wayne Police Department Gang and Violent Crime Unit attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Salem Ln and Maple Grove around 12:12 AM Wednesday. The vehicle fled from police initiating a pursuit. During the pursuit, the suspect vehicle crashed into an unoccupied parked vehicle and 3 suspects fled on foot and 1 suspect remained in the vehicle. Shortly after the suspects fled, multiple gunshots were heard in the area. Police believed they were being shot at and officers flooded the area and 3 of the suspects were arrested. The remaining suspect was not located. There were no injuries reported during this incident. This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department Gang and Violent Crime Unit.
