FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Police Department is looking for help in finding a person who took off after hitting two people Saturday night. One of the pedestrians was seriously hurt.
The hit-and-run happened at approximately 11:48 p.m.
The FWPD says a silver vehicle, possibly a Malibu or an Impala, was heading west on Superior Street and attempted to turn left onto Clinton Street while speeding.
The FWPD reported that the vehicle made a wide turn, hit two pedestrians crossing the street, and drove away before police arrived at the scene.

The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating a hit and run accident involving two injured pedestrians that occurred June 24th, 2023 at 11:48 pm. A silver vehicle (possibly a Chevy Malibu or Impala) was driving Westbound on Superior Street then turned left to go Southbound on Clinton Street at a speed too fast to safely negotiate the turn.
The silver vehicle made a wide L/turn and struck both pedestrians crossing the street, then fled the scene prior to police arrival. The female pedestrian who was struck is in serious condition at a local hospital and the male pedestrian was not taken to a hospital for his injuries. The pedestrians were crossing Clinton St. at the time of the collusion. The suspect vehicle should have damage to the hood on the passenger side.
