DEKALB CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – Police in DeKalb County are looking for anyone connected to a car that was found after apparently going off the road early Monday morning and catching fire.
Police were called to the 3300 block of CR 27 on reports of a single-vehicle crash with a car fully engulfed in flames just before 12:30 a.m.
When units arrived they found a 1989 Lincoln on fire in a line of trees. Once the fire was out the driver was nowhere to be found. Police didn’t release any further information except to say that the vehicle was a complete loss.
Anyone with information who might have information to help police with their investigation is asked to call the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department released the following:
On 09-25-2023 around 0025hrs Units were advised of a single vehicle accident, with the vehicle fully
engulfed in flames. Units arrived on scene and determined the vehicle ran off the roadway in the
3300 block of CR 27 and into a line of trees, coming to a stop. After the fire department extinguished
the vehicle, we determined it was unoccupied. The vehicle is a total loss. This incident is currently
under investigation and anybody with any information please contact the DeKalb County Sheriff’s
Office.
